What is surfing good and what can you compare it to?
About the feeling:
Think back to your first successful bike ride, ski trip or car ride.
So – it is incomparably stronger. The feeling of control over your body and the board when you win – it’s unbeatable
Why surfing? What if my kid doesn’t like it?
- Surfing gives a great sense of euphoria and self-confidence when your child makes his first successes (and he certainly will, we will help him.) This is an important psychological factor.
- If your child doesn’t like it, he or she can just relax. Swim in the ocean, play with children and counselors.
How are children in the water supervised?
- Briefly about how the safety issue is organized:
Children surf on the lightest spots, with low wave activity.
The swimming area is limited, special soft surfboards for beginners are used. Up to 12 children are in the water at a time. There is 1 instructor per 4 children. In addition, there are counselors in the water.
How often are classes held and how long do they last?
3 times a week, duration of 4 hours, together with instruction and relaxation.
Who teaches surfing lessons?
- ISS Camp children’s instructors certified by the Canary Surfing Certification.
How security is organized
Children’s safety is our top priority.. The camp territory is guarded 24 hours a day, and counselors and instructors are always near the children, controlling their activity. The camp has medical staff, ready to assist if necessary. Each child is provided with medical insurance, which covers any possible cases. Before the start of the shift, all parents receive detailed information about the rules of stay in the camp and safety measures. We strictly control the movement of children both in the camp and during excursions to eliminate any risks. Thanks to this, parents can be sure that their child is in safe hands.
